1st Day of Preschool

I dropped the twins off yesterday for their first day of preschool. I’m sure you’re thinking, “What?? Preschool? It’s summer!” Ya I know. But these preschool classes run all year, and the girls finally hit the age requirements to join. They have so much energy that I need to get them out of the house as much as possible.

Since it was their first day, I tried to capture a “1st day of school” pic. Epic fail. They were so excited that I couldn’t get them to look at the camera at the same time. And I definitely don’t have any of those cool letter boards that are rampant on Instagram. How come everyone has one? Is this an Amazon must have purchase or something that I totally missed?

But preschool went awesome. They loved it! When the girls were leaving, they waved and said, “Bye! Thank you so much!” 😭Could they be any cuter?

Although everything went great, I was initially really concerned the night before. I kept worrying about L’s much needed bang trimming and the possibility of zero clean cute clothes for everyone, myself included. I kept worrying about what the other moms at preschool would think of my kids. I wondered what kind of snacks they were packing their kids. Would their snacks be healthier than mine? It was CRAZY how much I was worrying about what would happen, even before I walked in the door. After realizing I was being ridiculous for putting way too much pressure on myself and my children, I decided to just go to bed and be excited about preschool, without all of the self-imposed anxiety.

It was a great decision 😍.
